The guide has been developed with youth workers, young people and teachers and includes workshop plans for youth groups, links to latest research and fact sheets surrounding drinking.
Areas covered in the guide, which is aimed at 11- to 16-year-olds, feature alcohol and emotional health, risk taking, and alcohol and sexual health.
Drinkaware chief executive Chris Sorek said: "This has been developed based on extensive feedback from those who work with young people on a daily basis. We have tested our workshop plans and worksheets with several youth groups."
To launch the guidance Drinkaware has released a latest survey of youth professionals, which found that 59 per cent wanted more support with alcohol awareness work.
