
Council documents due to be discussed by politicians at the local authority next Tuesday (18 April), reveal that a new contract for a combined early years health and wellbeing service contract is pencilled in to begin on 1 September.
The move will see health visiting, children's centres, pregnancy and breastfeeding support services, and early years parenting support services combined as part of attempts to save money.
Birmingham City Council is yet to reveal precisely how many jobs and children's centres are at risk under the plans.
Last year the council revealed that children's centres will have to be closed to balance the books.
