Sectors including the creative, agriculture and construction industries can now bid for a share of the fund to support the creation of new flexible apprenticeships to support young people into work.
The new scheme aims to boost apprenticeships in sectors where standard 12-month contracts are difficult to offer.
It allows the formation of collectives enabling apprenticeships to take up several shorter-term contracts across numerous organisations.
Applications are now open to companies wishing to bid for the scheme which is due to start in early 2022.
The announcement comes ahead of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s £100,000 ScreenSkills pilot for apprenticeships in the film and TV industry, with Netflix and WarnerMedia, which starts later this month.
