Goodfellow, who was the AYJ’s first chief executive, joined the organisation in 2019 in its previous iteration as the Standing Committee for Youth Justice.

She has joined the Children's Society as its director of youth impact, policy and research.

Lesley Tregear, AYJ chair, said: “Pippa developed several key partnerships during her time working at the AYJ, notably with Agenda Alliance for work focused on girls and women, and Leaders Unlocked in developing the Young Advocates for Youth Justice. She also developed strong relationships with existing and new funders, helping to bring sustainability to the AYJ.

“We are sad to see Pippa go, but she has left us in a much better position, having achieved charitable status for the AYJ amongst other things, before her departure. We extend our thanks to Pippa for her excellent leadership and wish her all the best in her new role.”
