Among the organisations to benefit is Youth Employment UK, which will use its grant to better understand the experience of young people looking for work “with particular attention for those most marginalised”.

The charity's scheme has a strong emphasis on investigating and showcasing employment practices that are successfully recruiting young people, it says.

Meanwhile, Carers Trust has been handed funding to help young carers find work.

Through the funding “Carers Trust will be able to convene employers, practitioners and wider stakeholders to build an evidence base of ‘what works’ and drive improvement across the youth employment sector, levelling the playing field for young carers and young adult carers”, said the charity’s head of young careers and young adult carers Vicky Morgan.
