The Knapman Fund has been set up in memory of Trisha Knapman, the charity’s first and longest serving employee – she joined in 1985 and worked for NYAS for 35 years – during which time she made a key contribution to its development. Trisha passionately supported the work of NYAS until her death in 2021.

The charity, which provides advocacy and legal support to looked-after children and young people on child protection plans or with mental health problems, hopes the Knapman Fund will go a long way towards enhancing the future life chances of children leaving care.
