The Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust

1 min read Youth Work

What is it? The Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust was set up in memory of mountaineer Andy Fanshawe, following his death in 1992. The aim of the charity is to give disadvantaged young people the chance to experience the great outdoors by providing grant aid to school and youth groups participating in such activities. Although grants are usually awarded to organisations, the trust will consider applications
from individuals.

How much is on offer? The charity does not specify any upper or lower limits for funding and grant applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. In order to make the most of the funds available, the trust finances trips within the UK. Ideally, those seeking grants should have done some fundraising towards their project before submitting their application.
