Cop show quiz

Aim This is a quick quiz-style warm up to get young people talking about the police, and law and order to introduce the topic.

You will need

Paper and pens

How to do it

Divide the young people into small groups and hand each group paper and pens. Call out the following and ask young people to write down the answers, allowing a minute for each round.

1. Name as many UK police/crime drama TV programmes as you can.

2. Name as many North American police/crime TV shows as you can.

Invite the teams to call out the names and then add up their scores. Congratulate the team with the most points. Which of these shows do the young people watch? Why?
