ACTION

A collaborative partnership with an expert parenting programme provider is helping to strengthen the delivery of early help and family services in Nottingham.

Triple P UK, part of a global organisation offering evidence-based parenting approaches, has been working with the city council and National Lottery-funded project Small Steps, Big Changes (SSBC) for nearly two years.

SSBC, made up of parents and professionals from the council and the city’s health services, commissioners, voluntary and community groups, had already enjoyed a successful working relationship with the local authority’s early help team.

This had seen both organisations work closely together to support children and families in Nottingham, particularly in the key wards of Aspley, Bulwell, Hyson Green and Arboretum and St Ann’s in the city.
