In 2015, campaigner and youth coach Amani Simpson launched his vision for AVIARD Inspires – an empowerment organisation designed to inspire and help young people to find positive pathways – after surviving being stabbed seven times at the age of 21.
Having experienced first-hand the dangers presented by the cycle of youth violence, Simpson’s vision for AVIARD Inspires was spurred by the hope of creating a “movement fuelled with the information, support and opportunities that I needed when I was growing up”.
The organisation offers personal development, digital media and enrichment opportunities for young people, as well as connecting them with positive role models, mentors, and routes towards employment and entrepreneurship.
