Q: How many young people are bullied each year?
A: Bullying is a not a minority issue. In fact, 69 per cent of children and young people in the UK report being bullied and 87 per cent of parents report that their children have been bullied. In London alone, 130,000 children and young people are bullied every day and it's fair to say that every young person across the UK is touched in some way by the problem.
While playground bullying is a major concern in schools, we're increasingly aware of the problem migrating online in the form of cyberbullying where an individual is deliberately targeted, threatened or humiliated by an individual or group through the use of mobile phones or the internet.
