"Well Who'd Have Thought It" research continues apace, with the staggering news that research has revealed that teenagers tend to like things that they are aware other teenagers like too. Of course - the oddity is that the researchers felt the need to single out teenagers. Conformity is finding security in copying the behaviour and attitudes of the people with whom you are surrounded and there are very obvious survival reasons why this should be so. The middle classes are built on it - what else explains the popularity of Pinot Noir and Michael Buble, for goodness' sake?
