I got the call from London radio station LBC at the tail end of last week. "Did I want to come on-air and discuss the budget's impact on young people?". "Sure thing" was my response in a nutshell. Should be a breeze. Then I pick up the Evening Standard on Friday night and see Frank Lampard's rant at an LBC DJ plastered all over pages 1 and 3. The DJ in question had accused the footballer of abandoning his kids in the midst of the split with his girlfriend, prompting an angry 'Lamps' to ring in and call him an "idiot". These LBC types go all guns blazing, I pondered.
