To increase physical activity levels, boost wellbeing and build key life skills through rowing.

Active Row London received £1.72m in funding from 2017 to 2022 made up of £1.32m from Sport England and £404,000 from Tideway, a company constructing a tunnel under the River Thames.

Active Row London is a programme delivered by London Youth Rowing, a charity that strives to increase diversity in the sport and enable young people from all backgrounds to take part.

The charity, which was founded in 2004, is based at the London Watersports Centre in east London and offers indoor and outdoor rowing to state secondary schools. In 2007, it launched the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships (NJIRC).
