Provider The Scout Association

Name A Million Hands

October marks the first anniversary of the Scout Association's campaign to mobilise half a million scouts in support of four social issues that were chosen as priorities up to 2018 by young people.

The campaign, A Million Hands, sees scouts aged six to 25 take on one of the four social issues in their communities and work towards different badges and awards, including a community impact badge.

The four issues are: improving the lives of those affected by dementia; improving the lives of those disabled by society; improving the mental wellbeing and resilience of families; and ensuring everyone has access to clean water and sanitation.
