Funding
The scheme costs around £240 a week per participant. The total cost from 2013 to 2015 was £681,000, funded by The Robertson Trust, the Scottish Government's Reducing Reoffending Change Fund, One Glasgow and Glasgow Community Planning Partnership
Background
In 2010, Glasgow youth support charity Includem launched its Gangs Initiative in the city's east end in an effort to work with repeat young offenders. The project helped young people caught up in gangs reflect upon and change their behaviour. The charity went on to extend this support to young people involved in violent alcohol-related offences and this evolved into the Impact project in 2013.
