The first 43 projects to receive grants under the second phase of the government's £300m Youth Investment Fund (YIF) will develop new youth services and facilities across England.

The YIF will provide investment in youth services, facilities and staff in the 45 local authorities and 600 district wards that are the most deprived areas.

Under the programme, 300 new youth facilities are set to be built or renovated over the next three years. This will increase the number of regular positive activities undertaken by young people in the targeted areas by 45,000 per year by 2026/27, according to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
