Aside from the ungodly, early morning wake-up call and the array of indistinguishable delicacies known as school dinners, our schools and teachers have ensured that our generation can succeed in anything they choose to pursue and for that we should be eternally grateful.
Careers advice in school? Careers advice in school is a resounding DISS. Never in seven years of senior education have I encountered a careers adviser or any form of careers advice, with the exception of a pamphlet titled University and The Future. All in all I feel that careers advice is vastly overlooked and under-funded in schools and this is a problem that urgently needs resolving.
The Pope's visit? When considering exciting events, the Pope's visit to the UK does not immediately spring to mind. However, I think I would rate it a HIT, because this was a visit of great historical importance, which there was no harm in getting involved in.
Coleen Rooney? Although I sympathise with Coleen, I am frankly uninterested in her husband's philandering. Therefore, I say DISS.
Spending cuts? Unfortunately the government's attempts to cut spending has greatly affected youth organisations and for this reason it's a DISS.
Tony Blair? Ah Tony Blair, well what can you say? A recent Facebook group epitomised his new career move quite nicely, "Subversively move Tony Blair's memoirs to the crime section in book shops". I say 100 per cent DISS.
The end of Big Brother? As an avid Big Brother watcher myself I was nothing short of distraught on discovering this was the end for the ultimate reality TV show. However even I will admit that it was high time for it to end. HIT.
JLS? Promoting safe sex is undeniably a commendable initiative, but JLS's novel idea of producing a line of condoms featuring their faces, colour co-ordinated of course, is frankly the stuff of nightmares. DISS.
