Heatham House hosts a band night every month, where local groups play. I recently did volunteer training with the youth workers here, and I now volunteer at band night and at the open sessions for Year 9 students. All the club's activities are led by what the young people want to do. I've now started volunteering at HeathFest, the club's annual festival. It's a day at the club where the alcohol and drugs teams and the police come and talk to young people, and local bands come and play.
Heatham House also houses a recording studio - the real reason I started coming here. I've learned how to use the equipment and now help the studio engineer with recordings.
