With the voluntary sector set to lose £4bn in income due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, children’s charities have been calling for support from government and grant-giving organisations to offset losses in trading activities and donations over the past few months. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Foyle Foundation. Last year, the foundation, registered as a charity in July 2000 to implement the terms of the will of the late Christina Foyle, distributed around £9m in grants. Beneficiaries include schools, youth groups and children’s charities.
