NCB Now: Listening to children in their early years

Monday, June 13, 2011

The NCB Research Centre has undertaken a second evaluation of the Young Children's Voices Network (YCVN), which exists to promote listening to and participation with children from birth to five.

The evaluation looks at the effectiveness of YCVN resources and support, the nature of local networks, and the impact of listening to young children via in-depth case studies of five local authorities. The case studies also explore listening best-practice in a variety of early years settings: from special schools to nurseries and children's centres.

  • Further information about the evaluation report is available from Young Children's Voices Network website www.ncb.org.uk/ycvn.
