The National Youth Agency: youthinformation.com looksat ... something different for Christmas - send a cow

Wednesday, December 8, 2004

Send a Cow gives direct, practical help to poor farmers in Africa, by providing cows and other livestock, training in livestock rearing and organic farming, and low-cost veterinary and advice services.

In recent years Send a Cow has been working with people affected by Aids: families bringing up young orphaned relatives, despite their own poverty, and in particular orphaned young people bringing up their even younger brothers and sisters. It is working to expand these programmes into Zambia and Tanzania.

If you want to give a gift with a difference this Christmas, telephone 0845 6604670 or place an order online at www.sendacow.org.uk.
