Professional footballers

I would get all football players, managers and clubs to adopt the same mindset as my hero Sir Alex Ferguson, who I met after being praised for my work with the Rathbone youth charity.

He believes that all young people deserve a chance in life, and there are over 80 professionals currently playing in the Premier League who were given their opportunity thanks to Sir Alex. He is a big fan of the apprenticeship scheme and is also supportive of people such as youth and outreach workers who also give us a chance. He was really on our level and you can see why he inspires his team to win trophies.

We read so many things about footballers being wealthy and sometimes getting into trouble. Many have come from the same backgrounds as me - and I don't know why they can't set a better example and give something back to their communities.

While some could still do more to support their local areas, I like the community work a lot of clubs do. In fact, one premiership club has done a lot to train young people and regenerate their local neighbourhood.

But as a die-hard red it pains me to tell you it's Manchester City!
