Funding Briefs: Respite scheme to get funding

A scheme that will offer respite to more than 50 young carers is one of the first initiatives to get funding under the Grants to Organisations strand of the Young People's Fund. More than 17,000 will go to Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Council for Voluntary Service to offer arts activities to carers aged 11 to 14. More than 86,000 will go to the Solihull Special Needs Active Partnership for a summer programme of activities for disabled children and those with learning and behavioural difficulties.
