First teachers' national strike for 21 years to take place 24 April

The first national teachers' strike for 21 years will take place tomorrow (24 April). Members of the National Union of Teachers are to walk out after rejecting a 2.45 per cent pay rise, which it says does not cover the rising cost of living.
