Inspectors have praised safeguarding children arrangements in Leicestershire and Wandsworth in the latest round of joint area reviews.

The London Borough of Wandsworth was rated as outstanding for its partnership work to keep children safe. Projects singled out for praise included anti-gang work where police identified young people thought likely to get involved in gangs.

Leicestershire's board was also highlighted in its report as an example of good practice, with inspectors again labelling it outstanding.

Inspectors were particularly impressed with the work of Leicestershire's board in reviewing serious cases.
