Youth employment adviser gets MBE

A youth employment adviser from Knowsley picked up an MBE at Buckingham Palace last month for services to young people.
Michael Fielding is an adviser at Knowsley Works, an agency that helps long-term unemployed people back into work. Working as part of Team North Huyton and more recently Knowsley Works, Fielding has helped hundreds of young people find work and set them on the road to successful careers.
"I feel humbled by this award but don't really know what I have done to deserve it," he said. "I have gained so much more from the work I have done than I have given to others."
