Tesco stores in Glasgow are helping children and young people learn about healthy eating and exercise following an agreement with the council.

Schools that are near Tesco shops are being given the opportunity to take part in sessions at an interactive centre run by former footballer Kevin Keegan.

The students have two sessions at the Soccer Circus, both split between activity sessions and education. On the second visit they are encouraged to look at how their behaviour has changed.

Councillor Gordon Matheson, the city council's executive member for education and social renewal, said: "If we want our young people to lead healthier lives, we have to teach them what this involves and show them it can be fun to pursues healthy lifestyles."
