A toolkit, launched by the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, helps teachers empower students to recognise and challenge sexist behaviour in a bid to reduce cases of violence against women and girls.

The toolkit is free to access online and features interactive activities for teachers to use in their classrooms, which aim to increase awareness about a wide range of topics relating to gender-based violence – including consent, victim blaming, and forms of abuse.

Focussed on allyship training, the programme was developed through a partnership between the Mayor’s Office and Tender, an arts-educational charity which promotes healthy relationships among young people, and works to prevent domestic abuse and violence.

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, has invested £1m to implement the resource across schools, colleges and community groups in London over the next three years.
