Andy Slaughter appointed shadow youth justice minister

Labour MP for Hammersmith Andy Slaughter has been confirmed as the shadow youth justice minister.
Slaughter, who was first elected to parliament in 2005, previously held a series of jobs in the voluntary, public and private sectors, and is a qualified barrister.
He has served on the Children, Schools and Families Select Committee (between 2007 and 2009), among others.
He will also hold shadow responsibility for courts and tribunals, criminal law, the parole board and freedom of information.
Rob Flello, Labour MP for Stoke-on-Trent South, will hold shadow responsibility for family law and justice.
