Funding to challenge discrimination faced by disabled people, to promote the inclusion and integration of recently established communities, to strengthen "mother tongue" and supplementary schools in providing creative learning opportunities and for "new and emerging needs"
Funding The maximum grant is £15,000, with the average being £8,000. About £650,000 in grants are made each year, mainly under the main open programme, with an average of 50 grants. The maximum grant is £15,000 per year, with an average of £8,000. Smaller grants are available to help organisationsincrease staffing levels.
Funder The Trust for London was established by the Government following the abolition of the Greater London Council. It works under the aegis of the City Parochial Foundation and provides grants to new and emerging voluntary organisations in the capital.
Aim There are four priority aims: to challenge discrimination faced by disabled people; to promote the inclusion and integration of recently established communities; to strengthen "mother tongue" and supplementary schools in providing creative learning opportunities; and a fourth category of "new and emerging needs".
Who can apply? Small, constituted voluntary groups benefiting communities in London and run by volunteers or by paid staff that between them work no more than 35 hours a week.
Deadline The trust meets four times a year to discuss applications.
