NYA Update: Commissioning support available for councils

A new guidance pack has been created by the National Youth Agency to support local authorities that are considering commissioning young people's services.

A Practical Guide to Commissioning Services for Young People has been produced by the agency as part of its Routes to Success programme of work with the Local Government Association.

The guide consists of a comprehensive range of documents, frameworks and toolkits to support organisations at the different stages of the commissioning process – from deciding whether a commissioned model is the right approach, including young people in commissioning and including decommissioning.
Copies of the guide are available to download for free from the Supporting Services for Young People Community of Practice.
