Playday 2011

How are you celebrating Playday on Wednesday 3 August? On Playday, hundreds of communities across the UK will put on local Playday events and activities and thousands of children, young people and their families will mark the occasion by simply getting out to play.

Playday is the national day for play in the UK, a celebration of children's right to play and a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children's lives. To search for an event near you or for support to organise your own celebration, visit www.playday.org.uk.

Building Consortia and Working in Partnership

Following on from the success of NCB's Successful Commissioning: An Introduction to Healthcare and Commissioning training course and in response to the current political and funding environment, NCB has developed a new training course on building consortia and working in partnership.

This is a one-day introductory course targeted at organisations with little or no experience of working in partnership and building consortia. Delegates must have an understanding of commissioning, gained either through attending NCB's Successful Commissioning course, experience or alternative training.
