Caring and learning are essential to the work of childminders and are seen as interdependent by childminders themselves, who see learning as impossible without a safe, caring environment. This is one of the findings of a research report by the NCB Research Centre.
Childminding Practice in England presents the findings of an 18-month study based on surveys, interviews and observations of childminders. It provides a unique insight into childminding practice, childminders' views on learning and development, and how they engage with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
