Young people are taking centre stage during Wakefield Council's "Local Democracy Week." Teenagers from the area will take part in three events developed by the council on 15, 16 and 18 October, with UK Youth Parliament candidates visiting Westminster at the invitation of Ed Balls, secretary of state for children, schools and families.
