Youth Justice: Mainstream funds for offending teams

The windfall follows a decision by the Youth Justice Board to share 25m of crime-prevention money between the teams. In the past, the board has given funding for specific projects.

The cash, which the board was given in the last Budget, will be divided among the teams using the board's standard formula. It will be ring-fenced to ensure it is only spent on crime prevention.
