Moving on

Aim This is an exercise that invites young people to share ideas about how to move on and cope after a break-up.

You will need

How to do it

Hand each young person a blank postcard and a pen. Ask them to write a postcard to a friend who has just split up with a partner that is supportive and offers advice for coming to terms with what has happened and ideas for moving on.

At this stage it doesn't matter if they write positive or negative ideas, as the whole group will review them later.
