The YWCA has secured a three-year lease on the site in Middleway Green, Bilston, from Wolverhampton City Council for a peppercorn rent.
The project aims to be a one-stop shop for women aged 11 to 30, offering information and support on issues that affect them. It wants to help between 200 and 250 people each year and will have an on-site creche.
The initiative is being established with Connexions, health and youth services and local community groups.
Pat McAuliffe, YWCA Wolver- hampton project manager, said: "We are already getting enquiries from local schools wanting to refer young women to us."
The city's Neighbourhood Management Pilot, which distributes Neighbourhood Renewal Fund cash, has awarded the charity 65,000 to convert the premises, which consists of two former shops and two flats, by next February.
