Young people with mental health issues celebrate their heritage

Young people with mental health problems in Nottingham came together last week to mark the end of Black History Month.

Young Diverse Minds is an outreach service run by charity Family First. It supports people aged 16 to 30 from African, Caribbean, Asian or dual heritage cultures, who have mental health issues. Sally Simnett, project manager at Family First, said: "We wanted to celebrate the different cultures. Having a sense of who we are is important, but for people with mental health problems it takes on a greater significance."
