Young people want more inclusive activities

Young people are twice as likely to encounter frequent prejudice as any other group according to a survey commissioned by theatre company Chickenshed.

More than half of 16- to 24-year-olds who have experienced prejudice believe it was due to their age. Four in 10 of the young people believed outreach projects in the community and schools are the best way to tackle prejudice. Mary Ward, co-founder of Chickenshed, said the survey shows prejudice is a problem for young people, making the need for inclusive activities more important.
