It will look at how to implement joint commissioning and promote partnership working to ensure trusts comply with new legislation and meet the assessment criteria.
The conference will cover new government guidance on children's trusts and how they fit in with The Children's Plan. There will also be interactive sessions to allow participants to share what they have learned and debate best practice with other local authorities.

It will look at engaging children, young people and families to ensure their voices are heard when creating policies and putting procedures into practice. The event will also consider safe recruitment involving the vetting and barring scheme and methods to put the Staying Safe Action Plan into daily practice. There will also be interactive breakout sessions looking at how to ensure children feel and stay safe.
