Website fosters community spirit

Youth Work
A group of housing associations in Hackney, east London, have created a website to help young people share their views and find out what is going on locally.

The Youth Engagement Project has been designed by the main social housing providers in the area in conjunction with local young people.

Each housing association has its own web page on the site, which will enable young residents to become involved with community activities and share their news and views.

Lisa Smith, 18, youth committee member, said: "We have lots of projects on the go, and I'm looking forward to having a say in what we do in the months ahead."
