Vox Pop: Should high street shops offer parenting vouchers?

Vouchers for parenting classes are to be handed out at Boots pharmacy stores in a government pilot

YES
Mary Rose Brady, head of Coram Parents Centre

A trusted “one-on-every-high-street” pharmacy is a handy and accessible addition to the list of places where people can pick up their vouchers. They’re also available from children’s centres, health visitors and GPs.

The classes are being offered by a range of family support organisations in different formats. Sessions at our Parents Centre in Camden will address attachment and child development and offer practical tips and advice.

Parents tell us that they want support from experts, but in language they can understand, with practical, workable strategies.
