The strength and value of the third sector largely rests in its ability to be innovative and responsive to issues and the needs of the individuals and communities which it supports. What will happen to those smaller organisations that may not have the resources to spend time seeking a kitemark?
Kitemarking could exclude some of those offering the most effective support and services, and distract commissioners' attention away from real quality to a quick fix solution that may not be the best. This isn't what the sector needs or deserves.
