The Home Office announced in its Violent Crime Action Plan, published last month, that it would provide funding and resources to the Be Safe Project to educate 1.1 million people over the next five years.
The project runs workshops in a variety of settings, including schools and youth clubs. Young people are able to discuss the reasons why people might carry weapons and are shown photos of victims of knife crime.
