The Save the Connexions Service and Save our Future campaign is callingon all local union representatives to lobby their local MPs, and contactlocal media.
Unison has received reports of severe cuts to Connexions after theDepartment for Education reduced its area-based grants last month.
Denise Bertuchi, national officer at Unison, warned cuts to Connexionscould "lead to the loss of many qualified careers advisers andsubstantial spending on redundancy costs rather than frontlinedelivery".
Unison is seeking legal advice on whether some councils may be breachingtheir legal duty to provide impartial careers advice to all young peoplein their local areas.
