Local authorities will be able to refer children aged between 16 and 18 to nine places by the end of the month.
The house will be run by independent company Integrated Care. Lynne Chitty, who is manager of UK trafficked children's resources for the company and who runs the safe house, said it was open to girls and boys, but the company was looking at creating a separate house for boys.
She said: "Their needs are very different around the reasons why they are trafficked and what happens to them."
The three-month placements start with an assessment of physical and mental health needs, risks from perpetrators and education requirements.
