THE NATIONAL YOUTH AGENCY: Young Roots

THE IRISH COMMUNITY IN MANCHESTER

Lead Agency: Irish Diaspora Foundation

Project: Some 21 young people from across six schools in Manchester will work for 15 months to produce an interactive study that will map the progression of the Irish community in their city. A project worker will be employed and IT and multi-media equipment will be purchased to record oral histories, photographs and documents in order to produce an exhibition of the findings.
