The National Youth Agency: The play's the thing

The Shakespeare Youth Festival (SYF) gives 16- to 21-year-olds across the UK the opportunity to set up their own theatre company and stage an abridged Shakespeare play in a professional theatre. Young people will have complete creative ownership. SYF, working in partnership with 40 professional theatres, will provide mentoring, scripts and workshops to help young people with or without experience to stage, direct, design and perform their show in March 2008. Open days will be held in partner theatres between 14 April and 15 May. Visit www.ssf.uk.com for further details.
