The conference will include presentations by Cathy Thompson, of the Department for Education and Skills; Stuart Bell of the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs; and Jim Davis, of the Forum for Rural Children and Young People, who will provide a national overview of participation work. There will also be a panel session where young people and facilitators directly involved in participative projects will talk about their experiences.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops facilitated by young people. These will continue the conference theme of participation, investigating how young people get involved in a range of decision-making processes in rural areas.
